Why You Should Go

CAMP is two solidly packed days of awesomeness, with hand-picked speakers from around the world coming together in Calgary. We are a community built on in-person professional relationships.

We cover everything in the realm of screen-media: from creative, inspiration, art, filmmaking and business to coding, web development, sound and gaming. CAMP brings people together who share your passion and gives the creative future a stage.

Who Should Go

Are you into innovation, writing, digital media, filmmaking or marketing? Do you consider yourself a creator or technologist? Are you in charge of a forward-thinking brand? Do you want to transcend boundaries?

If you've answered yes to any of these questions, CAMP is for you. CAMP Festival is for designers, directors, developers, artists, producers, strategists, technologists, marketing executives, makers, illustrators and anyone who creates and promotes in the digital space.

From technical to inspirational sessions, there's always something for you, no matter what stage of your career you're in.

Helping You Go

At CAMP, we understand it's not always easy to convince your boss or your teacher to let you go to CAMP. Asking for time off to develop new skills, to get inspired, refreshed, and learn from peers while making new connections can seem like a daunting task.

We have created two customizable request letters that can help your chances of going to CAMP. You can download them both and choose the one that best fits your needs.

Just fill in the blanks, email or hit print and submit it to your boss, teacher or HR department. Good luck!

How Sessions Work

CAMP Festival starts at 10:00am and ends around 6:00pm with a 75-minutes lunch break each day.

There are three to four sessions happening simultaneously with 15-minute breaks between sessions, and you are free to move between the different rooms at any time, no pre-registration needed.

CAMP Festival has a variety of session types:

  • Talks

Sit back and learn from one of our industry experts covering art, design, innovative technology, storytelling, film, navigating the creative world and more.

  • Campfire Chats

Get cozy around the campfire for storytelling with no slides, no filters, and no limits.

  • Hands-On Sessions

Get more involved with a topic with these 90-minute hands-on sessions where you're invited to engage with the speaker, and each other to solve problems, discuss real life case studies, and more! Walk away learning something valuable you can put to use in your work and personal projects.

  • Slowburns

Once a day we'll have a 90-minute mini-symposium focused on a single topic, highlighting perspectives from various industry professionals. May include performances, panel discussions, Q&A and more.

  • Adventure Workshops

These half-day workshops happen on Sunday, October 6th, and require a separate ticket. Registration and space is limited. Choose from four incredible options!

I purchased my ticket, now what?

You'll receive a ticket confirmation email upon purchasing your ticket. A few days before the event, you'll receive an email about what to bring to check-in at registration during the event. If you've purchased a ticket for one of the Adventure Workshops, you'll receive a separate email about what to bring for the workshop.

Can I participate in the CAMP experience?
